The Ameripolitan Music Awards in Memphis nominated the Kokomo Kings to best rockabilly band 2018, and the band won the "band of the year" 2018 award from the Blues Lounge Radio Show in the U.K. The pieces Impression Soleil Levant, Message de lArchipel 2011 and Kokoro (2012 version) have been created. This is also home for cult duo The Self-Righteous Brothers and other side-projects from Kokomo members. The band has toured all over and released 14 albums and a full-length concert film. The album made No 5 on the American Blues Junctions best albums of 2017, and the German magazine Blues News made it "album of the month". Kokomo is a long-standing Kiwi blues & roots group, based in New Zealand's sunny Bay of Plenty. Many Blues- and Rock´n´Roll fans claimed that it was the first time for many years that they listened to a blues album from the first song to the last, and just loved every second of it! 2017 Rhythm Bomb Records released their 2nd album "Too Good to Stay Away From".
